Last night, the “King of the Teens,” Lil Yachty, debuted his much anticipated Nautica Holiday 2017 collection at the American Beauty venue in New York City. Unveiling the collection in front of media personal and tastemakers, Yachty presented a full range of clothing apparel and accessories inspired by the brand’s heritage.
Designed in collaboration with Lil Boat, the 19-piece collection draws inspiration from the Nautica‘s design archives along with Lil Yachty’s favorite personal vintage Nautica items that he has collected and worn over the years. The limited-edition collection features an array of bright colors and includes a ripstop down puffer coat, sherpa fleece bomber jackets, knitted activewear tops and bottoms, cargo shorts, graphic tees, color blocked polos, as well as reversible fleece bucket hats. Nautica branded logo graphics and plaid prints taken from the brand’s archives of the 80’s and 90’s are included in the collection with fresh colors, logo treatments, and updated with Yachty’s “Sailing Team” logo.
Lil Yachty was named a Creative Designer for Nautica in early 2017. Since then, the “One Night” rapper has appeared on a number of the brand’s digital ad campaigns and was even featured as one of the models Nautica and Urban Outfitters’ 2016 lookbook.
The Lil Yachty Collection by Nautica will release at select Nautica stores globally and on nautica.com starting in November of 2017. The collection will range in retail price from $40 to $168.
