Kevon Brown, better known by his stage name Nappz – is a Canadian rapper and songwriter from the province of Ontario, Canada. Nappz was born in Oakville, Ontario and raised in the city of Mississauga – a suburban area of Toronto, Canada. He grew up with a single mother along with 6 brothers and 1 sister. Even tough seperated from his mother, his father played a major role in his upbringing. He attended Saint Joseph’s Secondary School in Mississagua. Nappz started rapping when he was around 13 years old in a homemade studio along with his brother Dread, who is also a rapper.
Nappz got into the rap game because of the influence and success of fellow Canadian rapper Syph, who is also the co-founder of the record label NuMoneygang ENT (NMG). In 2013, Nappz dropped his debut EP called “Underrateme” – with the response and success he experienced he was motivated to go back into the studio to make even better music . His new single “Next Up” has gotten tremendous response from his fans and plans are to release new music soon. Nappz, who is signed to the aforementioned NuMoneygang ENT label is affiliated with Life After Dark (LAM) along with Suh Sick Game (SSG). The impact of Canadian rappers on hip hop continues to grow and Nappz plans to be a major part of it.
